WHO ARE WE?
OUR MISSION
The [A.i]slamophobia Campaign is a collective powered by FEMYSO with the aim of bringing a unique perspective on the impact of digital technologies in Europe.
FEMYSO (the Forum for European Muslim Youth and Student Organisations) is the only pan-European muslim youth group to work on an institutional level to represent the voices of marginalised young people. We are a volunteer led organisation that want to see a safer and more inclusive digital future.
With the [A.i]slamophobia Campaign, we aim to bring a unique perspective on the impact of A.I. in the European context, from a European Muslim youth perspective, as well as reaching an audience rendered invisible by many of these same technologies. Previous uses of A.I. in the public space, such as the Dutch benefits scandal which targeted migrant Muslim families especially, demonstrate the need for more diverse voices participating in the A.I. space, FEMYSO has the ability to do this. Alongside this, we would also bring our extended network of young Muslim European organisations and their insights onto the current discriminatory use of A.I.
